Accessibility

For each event at Peabody Opera House guests with the need for mobility assistance may be dropped off at the corner of 15th Street and Market Street. The front entrance of Peabody Opera House has been fitted with an accessible door for easy ingress and egress. If you require the need for a wheelchair while visiting Peabody Opera House, please inform a staff member, and we will provide you with a wheelchair escort. If you have any questions, please contact the Peabody Opera House at 314-499-7600.

Age Restrictions

All guests, regardless of age, must have a ticket. With the exception of certain children's productions, infants and children under the age of 5 are not recommended in the theatre. If you have any questions, please contact the Peabody Opera House at 314-499-7600.

Alcohol

Guests must be 21 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages. Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol into the facility. No alcohol is permitted to leave the facility. Alcohol cut off times vary by event. You may inquire at the concession stand upon your arrival.

Announcements

Peabody Opera House does not have the ability to page guests during events.

Assisted Listening Devices

Assisted Listening Devices are available from the Guest Service Center located across from the box office at the main entrance. The devices operate on a FM system. Guests wishing to check out a device will leave a driver’s license or credit card at the Guest Service Center. Upon the return of the device in the same condition, the collateral will be returned. Devices are handed out on a first come, first serve basis and are provided free of charge.

ATMs

For your convenience an ATM is located at the main entrance along side the box office. 

Audience Courtesy

If any guest(s) should disturb you, please contact the nearest Guest Service Host or Security Guard to describe your problem. Persons who throw objects, cause a disturbance or disobey facility instructions will be subject to immediate ejection from the building and / or criminal prosecution. Persons observed breaking the law while in Peabody Opera House or on property are subject to immediate ejection and / or criminal prosecution. Guests that are ejected from the building will not be entitled to a refund or any compensation.

Audio / Video Recording Devices

No Audio or Video recording devices are permitted at Peabody Opera House. Please refrain from such behavior.

Backstage Passes

Peabody Opera House does not distribute or issue backstage passes for any event.

Binoculars

Guests are more than welcome to bring a pair of binoculars to Peabody Opera House to enhance their overall experience.

Box Office Hours

Peabody Opera House Box Office will only be open on event days. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets for Peabody Opera House may do so at the Scottrade Center Box Office. Scottrade Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Scottrade Center Box Office will be open on Saturday (10 a.m.) and Sunday (12 p.m.) for event days only. Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club are accepted. Checks are not accepted. An ATM machine is located at the box office for your convenience. Parking is available for ticket buyers in front of the building on Clark Avenue.

Cell Phones

Cellular phones are allowed into Peabody Opera House. We do ask that each guest respect the event experience of fellow guests and turn off all cellular phones during the performance. Phone communication and phone texting will not be allowed in the seated area. 

Camera Policy

Camera policies vary by event and are determined solely at the discretion of the show and are subject to change. Selfie sticks are not permissible pursuant to our prohibited items policy. Unauthorized or prohibited photography of an event may result in film or videotape being confiscated by show representatives. Each show owns the rights to performances and images of their production. In all cases, the resale of photography or video is strictly prohibited. For details regarding the camera policy for a specific event, you may call 314-499-7600.

Emergency Contact Information

Peabody Opera House does not have the ability to look up a guest's seat location or to make guest announcements. The best way to reach a guest during an event is by contacting them directly via the guest's cellular phone. In an emergency, you may contact the Guest Service Center at 314-499-7603 with the guest's name and seat location. A Guest Service Team Member will be immediately dispatched to deliver the message to the guest.

First Aid

First aid team members are available at all events to assist any guest with medical needs. The first aid room is located across from the box office at the main entrance. Guests may contact the nearest Guest Service team member for directions.

Guest Service Center

The Guest Service Center is located across from the box office at the main entrance. The Guest Services Center is staffed by individuals specially trained to respond to all types of guest inquiries and / or suggestions, including questions, problems, cab requests, stroller/wheelchair check in, lost children and lost / found articles. There are also brochures for hotels, restaurants and parking available in the Guest Services Center.

Inclement Weather Policy

Peabody Opera House rarely cancels or postpones events due to inclement weather. Please be advised that tickets for all events are sold on a non-refundable and non-exchangeable basis. This stipulation is clearly marked on each ticket. Should a decision be made to cancel or postpone an event, this information will be posted as soon as it is determined.

Late Seating Policy

Late seating once a performance has begun is at the discretion of the performer.

For theatrical events Peabody Opera House does not allow patrons arriving late to enter the theater once the performance has begun. Latecomers will not be seated until there is an appropriate break, which will be determined by the Peabody Opera House Management and the show production, or until intermission if applicable. There are two primary reasons for this policy:

  • It is very distracting to the performers on stage and may result in an injury.
  • It is very disruptive to the patrons that arrived for the performance on time.

If you must leave the performance at any time once it has begun, you will not be readmitted until an appropriate break or intermission. Please remember to allow a sufficient amount of travel time to arrive at the Peabody Opera House and park your vehicle at least 30 minutes prior to your performance’s start time. Remember to allow additional travel time as a result of poor weather conditions, heavy traffic, road construction, other metro St. Louis events and parking congestion.

Lost and Found Children

If you become separated from your child during an event, please seek the nearest Guest Service Host or Security Guard. When bringing children to an event it is always helpful to make sure that the child has their contact information on them.  

Lost and Found Items

All found lost items are turned into the Guest Service Center located across from the box office at the main entrance. Guests may inquire about items at anytime during an event and have their item and contact information logged in for easier retrieval when found. After an event, guests may call the Peabody Opera House Lost and Found Hotline at 314-499-7602. All found items are held for 30 days. Any items still on property after 30 days are donated to local charity organizations. 

Prohibited Items

The following items may not be brought into Peabody Opera House: airhorns, wrapped gifts or items, cans, bottles, coolers, sealed packages, drones, chemicals, plastic beverage containers, food and beverages, balloons (regular/helium), oversized bags or backpacks, pets (other than service animals), laser pointers/pens, sticks (including those on pennants or flags and selfie sticks) or weapons (guns, knives, chains, spikes, projectiles, tasers etc.) of any sort. All purses and bags are subject to inspection upon entering the venue.

Searches

For the safety and security for all, performers, guests and employees may be subject to a search before entry into the building. Searches may include a visual inspection, metal detecting wand or full body pat down.

Smoking Policy

Peabody Opera House is a smoke-free facility. Guests may not smoke inside the facility or within fifteen feet of any entrance / exit. Guests wishing to smoke may exit and re-enter the building at the main entrance across from the box office. Your hand and ticket will be stamped prior to exiting in order for our staff to verify re-entry. Smokeless electronic cigarettes and similar devices are also prohibited from use inside Peabody Opera House.

Soliciting

No loitering, trespassing, soliciting, peddling, resale of tickets, resale of merchandise or other items is permitted on Peabody Opera House property.

Strollers

Strollers are permitted inside of Peabody Opera House. All strollers must be checked into the Guest Service Center at the main entrance across from the box office. Umbrella style strollers that collapse completely are permitted to be placed under guest's seats during events. Peabody Opera House is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen strollers. Strollers may not be left in walkways, in aisle ways or in the lobby areas.

Tickets

Tickets for Peabody Opera House events may be purchased through Peabody Opera House Box Office, Scottrade Center Box Office, Ticketmaster phone sales, www.ticketmaster.com and through any Ticketmaster location. These sources are the only authorized ticket-selling agents of Peabody Opera House. Please be advised that we cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets obtained though any other source. Guests must have their tickets on their persons at all times when attending an event.

Tours

Peabody Opera House offers behind the scenes group building tours by reservation only. These tours are offered Monday-Friday on non-event days only. To inquire about pricing, a specific tour day, and other tour information please call 314-499-7602.

Wheelchairs

Peabody Opera House provides wheelchair escorts for guests with limited mobility from any Peabody Opera House entrance to the guest’s seating location. Upon arriving at an entrance, please ask a staff member for assistance.

Close
